On February 23, 1975, Alvaro Morte was born in Algeciras, province of Cádiz. His family subsequently moved to Bujalance, province of Córdoba.
He went from dramatic art to a degree in communications engineering, earning his diploma from the Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático de Córdoba in 1999. Additionally, he pursued graduate work at the University of Tampere. He spent some time in Finland before relocating to Madrid. He was diagnosed with a malignant tumor in his left thigh at the age of 33, which he eventually beat.
He landed his first lead part in a feature film after Money Heist in the Netflix movie Mirage (2018). He announced that he had joined the cast of the Amazon television series The Wheel of Time, an adaptation of the epic fantasy novels of the same name, and was reportedly set to portray Logain in December 2019. He began filming the series El embarcadero in 2019, playing Scar, a man who has lived a double life by having separate relationships with two different women.
