Pooja Rani is a well-known Indian boxer and fitness trainer. She is well-known for her efforts to raise fitness awareness. She has also received recognition from a number of Indian organizations. It took her a year to summon the bravery to enroll at her town’s Hawa Singh Boxing Academy, and she kept it a secret from her father, who she knew would be disappointed. She would stay at friends’ places while her wounds healed to keep her father from finding out about her sports injuries.
Pooja had to overcome her father’s opposition to the sport in order to compete professionally for about six months. She says in an interview that her father used to warn her that “decent children did not play boxing.” Her father forbade her from attending lessons after learning of her boxing goals. Sanjay Kumar Sheoran, her coach, had to beg her family to let her compete. Even so, it took nearly six months to convince her parents to allow her to box professionally.
In 2009, she became a youth state champion after defeating leading Haryana boxer Preeti Beniwal in the state championships. She then went on to win silver at the Youth Nationals in the 60kg division. Her family began to support her, and her father presented her with a bicycle as a token of his appreciation. Pooja also serves as an Income Tax inspector at the Haryana government.

Pooja Rani Career
Pooja Rani made her professional debut in 2009, winning a gold medal at the Youth Women State Boxing Championships. She also won a Silver medal at the 4th Youth Women National Boxing Championships in Goa in the same year. This accomplishment aided her in breaking through to the national level. Pooja won her maiden senior national gold medal in Chandigarh’s 4th Senior North Zone Boxing Championships in November 2009. She went on to win another gold medal at the Federation Cup in Uttarakhand a few weeks later. In the following year, she defended her championship in Nainital.
She took home a bronze medal at the 11th Senior Women’s National Boxing Championship in Thrissur, Kerala, in 2010. Pooja went on to win a gold medal at the 34th National Games in Jamshedpur the following year. Pooja won her first Gold medal of the competition at the 13th Senior Women’s National Boxing Championship in 2012, which she repeated the following year. Pooja continued to win medals at the state level after progressing to the national level as a boxer.
Pooja won her first international medal, a Silver medal, at the Arafura Games in Darwin, Australia, followed by a Bronze medal at the China Open Boxing in Guiyang City. Both tournaments took place in 2011. At the 2016 South Asian Games in Shillong, Pooja Rani won her first international gold medal.
