She has been Boris Johnson’s Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs since September 2021. She served as Chief Secretary to the Treasury from 2017 to 2019 and has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for South West Norfolk since 2010. Truss was born in the English city of Oxford. She received her education at the University of Oxford.
She was also the Secretary of State for Justice and Lord High Chancellor from 2016 to 2017, as well as the Secretary of State for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs from 2014 to 2016, and Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Education and Childcare from 2012 to 2014.
