Nethra Kumanan is a sailor from India. In 2020, she won a bronze medal in World Cup sailing in Miami. She is the first Indian woman to qualify for the Olympics in sailing. Nethra Kumanan became the first Indian woman to win a bronze medal at the Sailing World Cup in January 2020. She is a mechanical engineering student at SRM University’s Vadapalani campus. She was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, on August 21, 1997. She is a Bharatnatyam dancer as well. His father, VC Kumanan, is an IT specialist who owns and operates his own business.

She had explored several sports before pursuing her passion for sailing, including tennis, basketball, and cycling.
