Sajan Prakash is an Indian swimmer who competes in Laser Standard and Radical events for his country. He was born in Idukki, Kerala, India, on September 14, 1993.
He attended St. Paul’s Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Neyveli, Tamil Nadu, and later graduated from Annamalai University with a degree in Computer Applications. Later, he became an Officer Commanding with the Kerala Police Department.
His mother, V.J.Shantymol, who is also a former athlete and has represented India in national and international games, was his motivation for his sports obsession. He has been interested in swimming since infancy and is a member of the Neyveli Lignite City Swimming Club in Neyveli, Tamil Nadu.
Sajan Prakash earned six gold medals in the National Games of India in 2015, including 100m Butterfly, 200m Butterfly, 400m, 800m, and 1500m Freestyles, 4x100m Freestyle, and 200m Freestyle, as well as two silver medals in 200m Freestyle and 4x100m Medley.
